BWT Vietnam's Running Event: A Run for a Greater Cause

On May 23rd, the BWT Vietnam Team completed a 6 km run as part of BWT Global's initiative launched on World Water Day. Our team enthusiastically joined this effort to raise awareness about the challenges many people face in accessing clean drinking water and to collect funds for building water wells for those in need.

The 6-kilometer run symbolized the average distance that millions of individuals in Africa must walk each day to fetch water for their families. This run provided an opportunity for participants to experience, even if briefly, the challenges others endure regularly, and to contribute towards making a difference.

BWT Global pledged to donate 6 euros to the b.waterMISSION for each participant who completed the run. This generous contribution is set to provide much-needed support to communities struggling with water scarcity, ensuring better access to clean and safe drinking water.

Setting off from the BWT Vietnam office, surrounded symbolically by waterways, we traversed a route that showcased the diverse landscapes of Vietnam, blending urban bustle with rural tranquility.

The pink shirts, raising awareness, proved effective, eliciting enthusiastic honks from passing drivers.

Despite the high humidity, we persevered, and kept reminding ourselves of the importance of hydration to combat the heat. The weather, though, blessed us with a light rain towards the end, reinforcing the significance of water throughout our journey. It was a fulfilling morning, both for supporting a global cause and fostering our team's spirit.

In the end, the running event was not just about physical endurance but also about solidarity, awareness, and contribution to a vital cause. BWT Vietnam’s participation in the b.waterMISSION is a shining example of how corporate entities can play a crucial role in addressing global issues and making a tangible difference in the world.
